Adult Education

The Adult Learning and Post Secondary Services division supports students studying at the post secondary level by providing a combination of grants, loans, bursaries and scholarships. The division also oversees the delivery of programs in trades and apprenticeship, adult literacy, essential skills, adult basic education.

Adult Learning and Post Secondary Services Division also:

  • Supervises and provides certification on matters related to apprenticeship in Nunavut, including maintaining a complete and up-to-date territorial apprentice registry, undertaking initiatives with training providers and employers and helping the Nunavut Apprenticeship, Trade and Occupations Board.
  • Provides research, policy development and strategic planning for apprenticeship, trades and occupations, career development, literacy and program delivery of Financial Assistance for Nunavut Students (FANS).
