Early Childhood Programs
The Early Childhood division offers support for early childhood programs and services for children from birth to age six and for licensed out-of-school programs for children up to age 12. This division promotes awareness of early childhood issues within communities by supporting families as strong places for early childhood development and the development of language, culture, values and beliefs. We also promote quality care for children by licensing, inspecting, providing support and guidance to all early childhood programs; by providing workshops and training opportunities for parents and early childhood educators; and by providing support for special needs children.
